Centre Street Dental is a family general dental practice that provides all aspects of dental care, including a structured Active Maintenance Programme along with all aspects of preventive and comprehensive dentistry.

Centre Street Dental has continued to provide high-quality dental care to the community of Casino and surrounding areas since 2001. We are proud to service our town of 13,000 people with state-of-the-art dental technology and equipment. Our entire dental team is here to support our patients and their families.

Our Casino, NSW dental practice treats patients like our own family, whether it's their first appointment or they've grown with us. We love welcoming new patients and getting to know them over the years.

Preventive Dental Treatments

Your oral health is only as good as its foundation, and preventive action is the best way to avoid oral health issues like tooth decay or gum disease. Dr Normoyle recommend brushing and flossing your teeth every day and maintaining regular visits with Centre Street Dental.

During your dental clean with us, Dr Normoyle will be able to examine your teeth and gums along with any dental prosthetics and detect even minor dental issues early.

When it comes to oral health, the sooner you can catch a future dental problem, the less money you have to spend, plus you avoid painful dental emergencies. During your clean and exam, we can remove the build-up of plaque that is inevitable no matter how detailed you are with brushing.

Family Dentistry

General family dentistry means we are available to treat every member of your family, from the youngest to the young at heart. Each age has its own special oral health milestones.

Your family dentist, Dr Normoyle, are adept at providing all the general dentistry procedures that are necessary to address any and all oral issues.

A few of our general dentistry services include:

Our High-Tech Dental Technology

Our state-of-the-art dental technology allows us to serve our patients better and get them out of the dentist's chair sooner. Our intraoral cameras and digital x-rays give us precise and detailed images of your teeth and gums—they even allow you to see precisely what we see!

It's one thing for us to explain why a dental procedure is necessary, but we prefer to show you why. We enjoy keeping our patients engaged and active in their own oral health.

Our in-house full-mouth x-ray machine means we can see beyond the surface and look at your soft and hard tissues, jaw bone, and more.

We want our patients to look forward to seeing us, which is why we've invested in ADEC dental chairs that make you feel like supported and relaxed.

In our current times, we want patients to know that we have upheld sterilisation and infection control protocols. We sterilise all surfaces and equipment between each appointment and follow industry standards to keep patients and our dental team entirely safe.

Emergency Dental Care

Dental emergencies are often painful, stressful, and uncomfortable. From lost dental fillings or crowns to knocked-out or chipped teeth, we treat all manner of emergencies.

Our emergency dentists reserve time in their schedules for last-minute cases. If you are experiencing dental pain, do not hesitate to call us! Tooth pain is usually an indication that a significant dental problem is building.

At Centre Street Dental, we work hard to manage patient pain and conservatively treat the source of their problem.

Has It Been a While Since You've Seen Us?

That's ok; we welcome you to our dental practice. We serve our greater community and surrounding areas, and we're happy to see you—especially if you're long overdue for a clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Centre Street Dental, we keep designated emergency appointments available every day to try to accommodate any emergency. If these appointments have already been filled we will try to see you as soon as possible and will keep your name on our standby list in case we have a last minute opening.

A cancer diagnosis is a very challenging episode in anyone’s life and confronting the whole treatment process can be daunting. Thinking about how your diagnosis can affect your mouth can be a little way down the list of priorities and that is very understandable.

However, maintaining regular appointments with your dentist both during and after your initial treatment is really important and this regardless of the type of cancer that you have been diagnosed with. All cancer treatment can have significant impacts on a person’s mouth.

This is because most cancer treatment has a ‘drying’ effect on the mouth. What does this mean? Well, these treatments can lead to a reduction in the amount of saliva that is produced in the mouth. Saliva is THE most important thing for tooth and gum health. Less saliva means that your mouth has less ability to stay healthy regardless of how well your brushing and flossing routine is at home.

At Centre Street Dental, we recommend that if you have had a cancer diagnosis, it is important to make your dentist part of your overall ‘cancer treatment’ team. We invite you to call us for an appointment should you require any further information.

If you have lost a filling, it is important to see a dentist as soon as possible even if the tooth is not sore. Exposing the inner parts of a tooth to the mouth environment can lead to deep food traps and rapid tooth decay. At Centre Street Dental, we strongly advise our patients to have these teeth treated quickly to avoid more damage to the tooth and potentially more complex and expensive treatment.

If you have lost a filling, contact us for an appointment and Dr Greg Normoyle can assess and advise on how best to restore the area.

Occlusal guards or splints are used to protect the teeth in people who clench or grind their teeth. They are made of a hard plastic/acrylic and are custom made at Centre Street Dental. Dr Greg Normoyle recommend that patients wear their splints at night to protect their teeth whilst they are sleeping. Patients are also encouraged to wear their splint if they are working alone in front of a computer or any other time during the day when they don’t need to chat to anyone.

Splints do not stop people from grinding. However, a well-made splint will protect the teeth from further harm as well as reducing the often associated jaw muscle pain. If you think that you may need an occlusal guard/splint call us at Centre Street Dental for an appointment.

General Dentistry Technology

Digital Records

At Centre Street Dental, we are big fans of the advancements dental technology has made in just the last few years. We work with our dental team to make each patient visit as efficient as possible, and that includes patient records.

Keeping digital records allow our dentists and staff to pull up your oral health history in just seconds. If we are recommending a patient to a specialist, we can send any pertinent information in only a few minutes.

Digital records also allow us to keep an accurate and precise log for each member of your family.

Digital X-Rays

During your dental exams with Dr Greg Normoyle, we do our best to examine your teeth and gums. There may be underlying issues happening beneath the surface of your teeth, soft or hard tissue, and bones that we just can't visually see.

Digital dental x-rays allow your dentist to see if there are any oral health issues; this is an invaluable diagnostic tool that aids in restorative procedures as well as cosmetic.

Patient safety means a lot to us—we love how digital x-rays emit up 80 per cent less radiation than traditional x-ray film, and the processing is safer for the environment.
